Beware of Mystery Shopping Fraud!
The internet has spawned several scams perpetrated by con artists intending to defraud people seeking mystery shopping assignments. Follow these rules below:
- ANY offer that requests that you wire money through Western Union or Moneygram is a scam.
- ANY offer that comes with a check payable to you in advance is a scam.
- Solicitations found on Craig’s List should be approached with extreme caution. Coyle NEVER solicits shoppers on Craig’s List.

If you have received a fraudulent offer please notify your local authorities immediately and the FTC by calling their hotline at 877-FTC-HELP or by going online to www.FTC.gov.
