The Center for Culinary Development (CDC, http://www.ccdsf.com), a food and beverage product development company, recently took a look at consumer behavior and how it relates to ‘comfort food’ in a study of over 3,700 customers. The CDC looked at the comfort food preferences of different demographic groups they described as Boomers (49 to 63), Gen Xers (29 to 42), and GenYers/Millennials (18 to 28). The menu planner looking to improve the Guest Experience will enjoy this brief article, as well as the advice provided by author Anne Hunt at the Association for Consumer Trends.
